GETC 2027 is an international Congress for the people responsible for how energy is produced, financed, secured, and transformed.GETC 2027 is an international Congress for the people responsible for how energy is produced, financed, secured, distributed, transformed and used. Government, industry, capital, technology and research meet in Valencia to address the systems that will determine economic competitiveness and national resilience for decades to come.
The global conversation about energy can no longer be reduced to generation technologies or climate targets. Energy is the operating foundation of modern civilisation.
Without energy, industry stops, digital infrastructure and AI cannot operate, and hospitals, transport and communications fail. These are direct, immediate consequences of an energy system under strain.
The stakes extend further still: without energy security, national security becomes vulnerable; without affordable energy, competitiveness declines; and without investment in infrastructure, innovation cannot scale.
Energy
Generation, grids, storage, hydrogen, nuclear, renewables and emerging solutions.
Security
Resilience of critical infrastructure, cybersecurity and continuity under disruption.
Industry
The sectors that consume and depend on energy, with competitiveness defined by cost and reliability.
Technology
AI, automation, digital twins and deep tech accelerating transformation.
Capital
Investment and project finance required to move infrastructure from plans to deployment.
Government & Research
Sets frameworks, reduces barriers, creates knowledge, enables cooperation.
Congress
High-level discussions on energy, security, infrastructure, investment, technology and implementation.
Exhibition
Companies, technologies, projects and international ecosystems in one business environment.
Capital
Connections between investors, infrastructure projects and strategic opportunities.
Government & Diplomacy
Policy dialogue, international delegations, institutional cooperation and market access.
Research & Universities
Research-to-industry collaboration, technology transfer and expert participation.
GETC Awards
Recognition of technologies and projects with demonstrated potential to strengthen the future energy system.
A discussion on stage can lead to a meeting. A meeting can lead to a pilot. A showcase can lead to investment.
Cross-border partnerships and commercial agreements
Investment conversations and project finance opportunities
Technology pilots and deployment pathways
Public-private cooperation
Research-to-industry collaboration
Long-term relationships between institutions, companies and countries

What is GETC 2027?
GETC 2027 (Global Energy Transition Congress) is a two-day international congress in Valencia, Spain (9-10 April 2027) bringing together government, industry, investors, technology providers and researchers to address the systems shaping the future of energy.
Who is GETC for?
GETC is built for the people who make decisions about energy: government and policy leaders, energy company executives, investors and financiers, technology providers, and researchers from universities and industry.
Is GETC only about renewable energy?
No. GETC covers the entire energy system: generation, grids, storage, hydrogen and emerging technologies alongside conventional and transitional sources. Energy security depends on the whole system, not just one technology.
Who organises GETC?
GETC 2027 is organised by an independent congress secretariat working with an advisory board of energy, government and industry representatives. See Organiser Information for full details.
How can my organisation get involved?
Organisations can get involved as an exhibitor, partner, speaker, or through media accreditation. Start on the relevant page (Exhibit, Partners, Become a Speaker or Media Accreditation) to see the options and apply.
GETC brings together the people who can make those decisions and turn them into action.
