Everything attendees, speakers and partners ask most often about GETC 2027, all in one place.
What is GETC 2027?
GETC 2027 (Global Energy Transition Congress) is a two-day international congress in Valencia, Spain (9-10 April 2027) bringing together government, industry, investors, technology providers and researchers to address the systems shaping the future of energy.
How many public ticket types are there?
There are three public ticket tiers (Visitor, Delegate and Executive) plus a fixed-price VIP Leaders Pass. Each tier unlocks a different level of access to sessions, networking areas and hospitality.
Can I buy a Government or Investor ticket?
No. Government & Institutional and Investor Access are approval-based roles rather than public ticket tiers. Apply through the Government & Institutional or Investor Access pages and the GETC team will confirm eligibility.
Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are refundable up to 30 days before the Congress, minus a processing fee. After that window, tickets can be transferred to another attendee but are no longer refundable.
Can I upgrade my ticket later?
Yes. You can upgrade to a higher tier at any time before the Congress by paying the price difference between your current and new ticket.
Who is GETC for?
GETC is built for the people who make decisions about energy: government and policy leaders, energy company executives, investors and financiers, technology providers, and researchers from universities and industry.
Is GETC only about renewable energy?
No. GETC covers the entire energy system: generation, grids, storage, hydrogen and emerging technologies alongside conventional and transitional sources. Energy security depends on the whole system, not just one technology.
Who organises GETC?
GETC 2027 is organised by an independent congress secretariat working with an advisory board of energy, government and industry representatives. See Organiser Information for full details.
How can my organisation get involved?
Organisations can get involved as an exhibitor, partner, speaker, or through media accreditation. Start on the relevant page (Exhibit, Partners, Become a Speaker or Media Accreditation) to see the options and apply.
How are speakers selected?
Speakers are selected by the GETC programme team based on relevance to the agenda, expertise, and the strength of the proposed session. Full jury composition and criteria are published on-site.
Can I apply to speak?
Yes. Anyone with relevant expertise or a strong session proposal can apply through the Become a Speaker page. Submitting an application does not guarantee selection.
When will the full list be published?
The confirmed speaker list is published in stages as sessions are finalised, with the full programme available closer to the Congress dates.
Are travel and accommodation covered?
Travel and accommodation support depends on the speaking role and session format. This is confirmed individually with selected speakers during the confirmation process.
Can I filter by topic?
Yes. The Speaker Directory lets you filter confirmed speakers by category (Government, Energy & Utilities, Industry, Investment & Finance, Technology & AI, Cybersecurity, Research & Universities).
The decisions made today will determine how the world is powered tomorrow. Meet the people making those decisions at GETC 2027.
