GETC Awards 2027 identify technologies, projects, companies and research-to-industry solutions with credible potential to improve how energy is produced, stored, transmitted, secured, managed and used.
The future of energy should be recognised before it becomes obvious.
The evaluation is built on independent expert review, not a popularity contest. Every entry is assessed through evidence-based scoring across 8 published criteria, giving the process a transparency and rigor that stands apart from sponsorship or commercial participation of any kind.
For finalists, recognition starts well before the Awards Ceremony itself: shortlisted entries gain visibility among industry, investors, institutions and international delegations, and selected finalists have the opportunity to present or showcase their work directly to that audience.
Energy Transition Innovation
Solutions materially accelerating cleaner, more flexible energy systems.
Energy Security & Resilience
Continuity, protection, recovery of energy and critical infrastructure.
Grid & Energy Storage
Grid modernisation, flexibility, distributed systems, storage.
AI & Digital Energy
AI, analytics, automation, digital twins with direct energy-system value.
Industrial Transformation
Improving the energy performance and resilience of industry.
Research-to-Industry

Selected from the strongest eligible finalists across all categories, the submission that best combines strategic relevance, credible innovation, technical evidence, implementation potential and measurable impact.
Every eligible submission is reviewed using the same structured 100-point framework.
Published Jury & Criteria
Full jury composition and the 100-point scoring criteria are published on-site: no closed-door decisions, so investment funds and institutions can trust the result.
Audience Favorite
A separate, broader audience vote decides a 4th category. The expert jury alone decides the top 3, and the two never mix.
Administrative Screening
Eligibility, completeness, category fit and minimum evidence review.
Independent Expert Review
At least two independent reviewers assess each eligible submission.
Moderation
Where expert scores materially diverge, a third review may be requested.
Shortlist
Strongest submissions progress, subject to verification and category balance.
Evidence Verification
GETC may request supporting data, references or pilot results.
Final Jury
Shortlisted projects reviewed by the final jury; may include presentation / Q&A.
Final Approval & Announcement
Conflicts, eligibility and factual accuracy checked before results announced.
What is GETC 2027?
GETC 2027 (Global Energy Transition Congress) is a two-day international congress in Valencia, Spain (9-10 April 2027) bringing together government, industry, investors, technology providers and researchers to address the systems shaping the future of energy.
How many public ticket types are there?
There are three public ticket tiers (Visitor, Delegate and Executive) plus a fixed-price VIP Leaders Pass. Each tier unlocks a different level of access to sessions, networking areas and hospitality.
Can I buy a Government or Investor ticket?
No. Government & Institutional and Investor Access are approval-based roles rather than public ticket tiers. Apply through the Government & Institutional or Investor Access pages and the GETC team will confirm eligibility.
Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are refundable up to 30 days before the Congress, minus a processing fee. After that window, tickets can be transferred to another attendee but are no longer refundable.
Can I upgrade my ticket later?
Yes. You can upgrade to a higher tier at any time before the Congress by paying the price difference between your current and new ticket.
Put it to the test.
